...And Counting

Jed created a Sarah Palin Sequestration Counter so I snagged it and added it off to the right.

Her angry face freaks me out so I tried to bury the widget a little lower down.

But keeping track of just how long she's now gone without taking a single press question should not be ignored. Since I've yet to hear much beyond a logistics peep about tonight's ABC interview, I suspect it's not going to be a barnburner. If it were explosive, they'd be promoting it to death.

Instead... *crickets* ABC just released some excerpts of the interview. From HuffPo:
GIBSON: Governor, let me start by asking you a question that I asked John McCain about you, and it is really the central question.

Can you look the country in the eye and say "I have the experience and I have the ability to be not just vice president, but perhaps president of the United States of America?"

PALIN: I do, Charlie, and on January 20, when John McCain and I are sworn in, if we are so privileged to be elected to serve this country, will be ready. I'm ready.

GIBSON: And you didn't say to yourself, "Am I experienced enough? Am I ready? Do I know enough about international affairs? Do I -- will I feel comfortable enough on the national stage to do this?"

PALIN: I didn't hesitate, no.
Keep reading. There's more.

p.s. Jed's trying to instruct me on how to erase Palin's face from the counter. If I can make that happen, you've got my word I will.

p.s. again: "So far, Palin has taken no questions from reporters traveling with her on the campaign trail."

Here's an idea, reporters. Stop following her. If there's no press, there's no publicity. Demand she takes questions. And unless she agrees, stay home. Until she stops just regurgitating her convention speech, there's no real news for you to be following anyway. It's all staged.
