I spent an hour and a half at my doctor's office yesterday chatting with him about the state of healthcare in this country. I had a very clear view of what needs to change for patients' sake. After hearing his take, I now have a good sense of what would work for doctors too. The whole debacle is a huge quagmire, and there is no question there is no easy solution. However, the more I dig in, the more I come away convinced that insurance companies are at the root of the disconnect, and we're going to have to do something about them - and their greed - first.
